For sport and drives

Rides, runs and drives, on one map.

For group rides, club runs, support crews and drives with friends. Each person shares from their own phone, with an end time, and the map shows where everyone is and how old that position is.

01 · Before the start

Share for the ride, then it stops.

Each rider shares with the group for one hour or until the end of the day. Sharing ends on its own; nobody has to remember to switch it off.

  • Shared with Club Sur until the end of the day.

02 · On the road

See who is behind, and how fresh it is.

The support car opens the list: every rider with the place and age of their last position. Open one rider to follow them Live for up to 30 minutes at a time, with a new position about every 5 seconds.

Planned

Sport and Drive mode on Android

On iPhone, a Sport or Drive session sends a position every 1 to 10 seconds, with steps and air pressure, and stops by itself after 4 hours or at 15% battery. In the iPhone test app today; planned for Android.

Planned

Group rides

A ride leader opens a ride, riders join with a link or a QR code, and the leader is told when someone falls behind or stops. When the ride ends, nobody can see the positions any more. Planned, not in the apps yet.

03 · Getting started

Before the next ride.

  1. Each rider installs Silbame and signs in.
  2. Each rider shares with the leader or the support car, until the end of the day.
  3. The support car opens the map. Live shows a rider every 5 seconds.
04 · Battery

Live uses more battery.

Live sends a position about every 5 seconds, so it runs only while someone has your card open, up to 30 minutes at a time. Outside Live, the phone reports less often.

05 · Where it does not work

No signal, no update.

A phone sends its position over mobile data. In a valley with no coverage, the map shows the last position and its age until the phone has signal again.
